The English Chorale was formed by BAFTA award winning musician, director and producer Robert Howes, whilst a student at the Royal Academy of Music.

The singers feature as the choir and voices behind such iconic albums as Grateful Dead’s “Terrapin Station”, Roxy Music’s “Siren” and The Carpenters “Christmas Album” as well as albums by such artists as Scott Walker, Elaine Paige, Mike Oldfield , Leo Sayer, Gilbert O’Sullivan, Chris De Burgh, Charles Aznavour and Kansas.

But it was as the choir on the Alan Parsons Project and the worldwide hit “Music” by John Miles, produced by Alan Parsons and orchestrated by Andrew Powell (Kate Bush’s first producer), that attracted universal attention to their wonderful sound and harmonies.

The combined sales of all of these historical works make The English Chorale one of the biggest selling choirs of all time.

This “English Chorale Carols” (digitally re-mastered) Christmas album, re-released for Christmas 2021, sees them at the peak of their vocal powers. Accompanied by Baroque Brass of London, the album includes everyone’s traditional favourites from Once In Royal David’s City and O Little Town Of Bethlehem to The First Noel and Away In A Manger.

The English Chorale Carols is the perfect collection for the Christmas Holidays, reminding you of Christmas through the ages, family, friends and mince pies around the Christmas tree.
